After two years of marriage, the two creators of a unique love story have appeared in public again as a happy couple.
The Hong Kong newspaper Mingpao has reported that American Chinese physicist, Yang Zhen-ning, and his young wife, Weng Fan, attended the release of a celebrity talk-show tele-film "The Sky of Music" on Tuesday.
The young wife ignited the media with her new image of employing a simple off-the-shoulder black dress, and a "Bob" hair style (the short, straight haircut popular in China in the 1960s when women were encouraged to rejoin the work force).
She has traditionally kept a low profile when facing the media, standing beside her celebrated husband.
But at this ceremony, she also played piano, disclosing that she had been a student of the Hong Kong female pianist Sun Ying during her childhood.
Noble prize winner Yang Zhen-ning, 85, and Weng Fan, 31, got married in 2005. Since then, the life of this phenomenal partnership has been in the spotlight.
They got to know each other in 1995, when Yang and his previous wife attended a meeting at Shantou University, Guangdong, with Weng in charge of the reception. She was then a postgraduate student at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
Yang's first wife died in 2003. Weng was also married once, though she was divorced before long.
