Final results released by Iran's Interior Ministry showed on Thursday that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's conservative camp had been defeated by his opponents in elections held last week.
According to the results published by the Interior Ministry, allies of the moderate conservative mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf won eight seats, reformists four and an independent one, while hardline allies of President Ahmadinejad only got two seats.
